What is post-quantum encryption?
Post-quantum encryption uses algorithms that cannot be broken even by future quantum computers. Aionda Mail uses ML-KEM-1024 combined with X25519 (Hybrid KEM) — the current NIST standard.
What does zero-knowledge mean?
Zero-knowledge means the server never has access to your unencrypted data. Your password never leaves the browser, emails are encrypted client-side. Even we as operators cannot read your content.
How is this different from Tuta or Proton Mail?
Aionda Mail offers post-quantum encryption, disposable email addresses, AI agents, and shared folders with end-to-end encryption — features that neither Tuta nor Proton Mail offer in this combination.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Plus members can connect custom domains with SPF authentication. Your emails are received and sent under your own domain.
What happens if I forget my password?
Thanks to Shamir Secret Sharing, you have three independent access paths: password, passkey (fingerprint), and recovery key. Any two are enough to unlock your mailbox. A classic password reset is deliberately impossible — that's the proof that we cannot read your data.
Is Aionda Mail GDPR compliant?
Yes. Aionda Mail is operated by Aionda GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany. All servers are located in Germany. The zero-knowledge architecture additionally protects your data technically — even in case of a data breach, the data would be worthless.
